So, I got my period when I was 13(I am 16 now). And I remember days before I got it, I started feeling really tired and dizzy. It was like I could go to bed and just sleep and sleep and sleep. I felt like all of my energy was gone. I then when I ate, I felt full maybe after two bites of a piece of bread, and other times I could just eat without ever feeling full. Also I feel really scared and nervous a lot of days, and it stops me from doing a lot of things I want to do. My period is still irregular, it comes about every fourth month. I went to several doctors, and they either said I had low blood sugar or something like that, or that I had some wierd Chinese sickness called chiao yang syndrome, or else they said I had to take pills to make my period regular. I took pills for everything, exept the pills that make my period regular. Well I did, but not more than two months or something. But besides that, the doctors says that I am healthy. I don't know what to do, cause I feel so tired and dizzy all the time but everyone keeps on saying that nothings wrong. I'm sick of dealing with it. Sometimes I think that maybe its just a period of time in your life that passes again, but its so frustrating. Please help.

I've had a similar problem so I'll tell you what I know from experience. Producing the extra blood to create the uterine lining (your period) can cause your body's haemoglobin level to drop. The change isn't that big on paper and a lot of women don't even notice it, but if your haemoglobin level is naturally low you might start to feel anaemic around the time of your period. I can usually manage this by eating more of the right things at the right time but if your symptoms are particularly bad you might want to start taking iron supplements (I'd get your levels checked first, I could easily be wrong). As for your irregularity no-one can help with that but your doctor.
If this turns out to be the case then it's not really a risk to your overall health - I can even give blood on a good day! :)
