There is an answer for every question - the problem is that humans might not be able to find that answer for every one of their questions.

People insult this website because it doesn't know the answer to every question in the world. Even a person doesn't know the answer to every question in the world. On this website, people keep asking and answering questions. It is a way of learning. Not to mention that I'm in third grade and I can answer my own questions.

Yes, lots. Some date back to the beginning of human history, some are deep philosophical questions for which there are no answers and as we learn more about the natural world we find that every answer brings with it many more questions.

How do you know the answers?
Nobody will know every answer to the questions on this site, that's why you've got to pick out questions you know the answer to. Some people research questions to find the answers even if they don't directly know the answer. Answering questions increases the world's knowledge, and allows the original asker to benefit.
Can answers.com actually answer all the questions in the world?
Of course we can't. There are some questions that can't be answered (like "When will I die?" or "Who is going to be the next president?"). And there are some questions that would take a whole college course to answer (like "What are the names of every animal on Earth?"").

People from all over the world answer these questions. Every person has different levels of education and some people use English as a second language.
Why are there unanswered questions on Answers.com?
Good questions get good answers. Sometimes we are asked questions that do not contain enough information to give a real answer. Sometimes there IS no answer. No one has counted how many frogs there are in the world, and the number changes every second- so don't ask. The folks that answer questions are volunteers- no one gets paid to find you an answer. We also do not do your homework for you, and some questions do not deserve an answer. We also remove questions asking for ways to do things that are immoral or illegal. PS- I have answered several thousand questions here. How many have you answered? If there are things you know about, you can answer those.
