In the past, the U.S. has exacerbated Communism via isolationism towards countries such as Cuba. Nonetheless, the US has helped to fight communism, mainly by living and leading by example. For example, the average household income and per capita GDP of the relatively free and democratic US has been much better and higher than that of communist countries over the years. In other words, the best way that the U.S has helped to fight Communism is by leading by example.
