Precision is the extent to which a given set of measurements of the same sample agree with their mean.

ex. If you were to weigh yourself, and the scale read: 60kg, 70kg, 140kg, and 130kg, the mean (or average) of those is 100kg. Now compare each individual reading with the mean. For instance, in trial one, the weight was 60kg, while the mean was 100kg.
Therefore, the trial was not very precise
