The skeletal system includes the bones that are moved by the muscles. The muscles are connected or attached to the bones by tendons. The muscles pull on the bones, approximating certain attachments & many times causing the bones to act like levers.

The skeletal system provides the framework and support for the muscular system to attach and move. Muscles are responsible for providing movement to the bones, and the bones provide leverage and structure for the muscles to generate movement. Without the skeletal system, muscles would have nothing to act upon, and without muscles, the skeletal system would have limited function.
