DNA is like...precious document.

The document must stay in a safety vault and cannot be removed.

This is like DNA in that DNA must stay in the nucleus of the cell and cannot be removed from it.

Someone then has to go into the vault and make a copy of what is in the book so that we can see and used what is in the book.

This is like the cell which makes a copy of the DNA (as mRNA) and then mRNA moves out of the nucleus to the ribosomes to be used to make the protein.

1.) boss gives recipe to messenger.

2.)messenger leaves office through door and goes to factory floor / work stations.

3.)workers pick up ingredients.

4.)workers assemble ingredients at workstations.

5.)ingredients are combined according to recipe.

6.)candy assembly is finished , workers eat some and the rest is wrapped for shipment.

2.)mRNA exits through nuclear pore to cytoplasm/ ribosomes.

3.)tRNA binds to amino acids.

4.)loaded tRNA bonds mRNA at ribosomes.

5.)polypeptide chain grows in response to mRNA codons.

6.)completed protein either used by cell or packed and exported
