∙ 9y agoThe story of the Ethiopian eunuch takes place in Acts 8 of The Bible. Philip the Evangelist meets him on the road, sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah. Philip asks the man if he understands what he is reading. He doesn't so Philip teaches him the Gospel of Jesus. The Ethiopian asks to be baptized right away. He then goes on his way rejoicing in spirit.

∙ 11y agoNo. The 'eunuch' mentioned at Acts 8:26-38 had gone to Jerusalem, as a proselyte of Judaism, to worship the God of the Hebrews, YHWH, so, under Law, would not have been allowed within the congregation if he were literally castrated (Deuteronomy 23:1). Sometimes 'eunuchs' were castrated if they were put in charge of a King's harem, or the 'women's quarters', but basically a 'eunuch' was simply a 'court official', as mentioned at Acts 8:27 (ESV)"And he rose and went. And there was an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship...". His power was over the queen's treasure, so there was no need to castrate him.
