If you are referring to the glands that are situated atop of each kidney, they are somewhat of a 3-sided, triangular based pyramid.

The adrenal gland is located above the kidneys also known as suprarenal glands. Adrenal glands are made up of two basic structures or layers which are the outer cortex and the inner medulla.
