Lipids are also made up of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O), but have the littlest number of (O) molecules. Everything has a backup plan. For that extra boost of energy that we need, our body turns to the lipids. The body will use the first source of the carbs energy. Once the carbs run out, then it turns to the lipids as an enhanced source of energy.

Proteins are very important to our body. It helps to make up our structure and most of our bodies function. What we intake from our food would be considered the energy source for our bodies. That is why we have the food pyramid to rely on as a source of help.
