What is star wars the old republic rated?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

SW:TOR is rated "T" for Teens by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) while in Europe it would be rated a 12 or 16 but the Pan European Gaming Information (PEGI).

NOTE: While these are the ratings given to them by each of these game rating boards, the chat component of the game can not really be rated as it can fluctuate wildly during the course of a day, sometimes being mildy inappropriate for children to wildy inappropriate for even adults to see. As with all games, the parent should sit down with the child that wants to play the game and watch them play it, judjing for themselves if they want thier children to play it.

In May of 2012, there were around one million players, give or take several thousand. This does not include the free to play players that recently joined when the game went Free To Play. We will have to wait for the numbers to stabilize to get a more accurate idea of the numbers.

How do you become a sith assasin in SWTOR?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The requirements is a lvl 10 Sith Inquisitor that can go to the Imperial Fleet. Once you come to the Imperial Fleet main level, walk around and come to every quest guy until you find the dude telling you that you need to advance to a different level (something like that). Then you go to your map and find the "combat training" area where you will find an area where the logo has a hand with electricity coming out of it. You come in there, you talk to the guy the dude told you to talk to, and you will have a choice of either choosing a sorcerer or an assassin. Sorcerers are healers while assassins are dps with double sided lightsaber. Since this question is how to become a sith assassin, choose the assassin option, which will be final. The quest will be final, and you will find a box in your inventory which includes your lightsaber and other stuff. Hope this helped, and may the force be with you! lol

Do you have to buy Star Wars the old republic?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It can be free if you download it online and not buy it in store.

The Free to Play option will let you experience the game for free all the way to the max level (50), however, you will be extremly limited in game features. Below are just a few of the restrictions.

  • Limited to 3 flashpoints per week
  • Limited to 5 Warzones per week
  • No access to operations
  • 2 Galactic trade network selling slots at a time
  • Very limited access to general chat, also cannot whisper someone unless they whisper you first
  • Limited to 2 characters total
  • Limited to 2 quickslot bars
  • Credit cap is set to 200,000 credits
  • Commendation cap of 20 at a time

Those are just some of the basics. You can upgrade to "Preferred Status" buy buying something from the Swtor store on the site, like Cartel Coins. Cartel Coins allow you to unlock some features of the game, like crew skills, cargo access, expanded inventory slots, etc. Buying anything will get you preferred status.

Preferred status players are higher in the "food chain" than Free to Players. They have more quickslot bars (4 total, in a coming patch), higher credit cap (350,000), automatic access to their cargo hold (free to players cannot access their cargo holds), and in a coming patch, will be able to access 6 character slots instead of just two

Yes you can and I heard about a program called xpadder which you might want to look into.

XPadder is one of two recommended options, the other being Pinnacle Game Profiler. XPadder is easier to setup, but PGP is more stable in SWTOR.

What is the jedi code in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There are several Jedi Codes as the term simply refers to a set of teachings such as The Crystal Code and so on. The most common lesson referred to by the term Jedi Code is the Jedi Mantra, or Way of the Jedi.

There are even different versions of the mantra depending on what part of Jedi history you are exploring.

The earliest known form of the mantra is:

Emotion, yet peace.

Ignorance, yet knowledge.

Passion, yet serenity.

Chaos, yet harmony.

Death, yet the force.

The mantra predates most established Jedi history but is said to be the basis for it's formation.

The refined version was established by Odan-Urr and transcribed by Homonix Rectonia during the Early Manderon Period, this version carried on for thousands of years up through the time period of the Old Republic:

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the force.

The fourth line "There is no chaos, there is harmony", is removed from some Jedi texts and teachings. (For example the book quoted during the funeral of Mara Jade Skywalker omits the 4th line). By the time of the clone wars, this version of the Jedi code is considered mostly ceremonial.

An alternate version of the Jedi Code was later established sometime before the clone wars and is more commonly found in texts from that period right before the fall of the Jedi to the clones and is what is taught in Jedi schools of that time:

Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.

Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others.

Jedi respect all life, in any form.

Jedi serve others, rather than rule over them, for the good of the galaxy.

Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.

Grand Master Luke Skywalker would later revise this code when he establishes the new Jedi Order, Skywalkers version is:

Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.

Jedi use their powers to defend and to protect.

Jedi respect all life, in any form.

Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.

Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.

Luke continues to use the Old republic version (minus the 4th line) in ceremonial proceedings (such as his wife's funeral) but uses the revised code as the basis for teaching students.

In counterpoint the Sith code is also based loosely on the ideas from the Jedi's original mantra; it's most widely known form was also revised around the same time the as the early Jedi's and remains through the time of the Old Republic:

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.

Through passion I gain strength.

Through strength I gain power.

Through power I gain victory.

Through victory my chains are broken.

The force shall free me.

There are no known further revisions to the Sith Code and the mantra is not spoken of during the clone wars era (or after).

An example of one of the other Jedi Codes is The Crystal Code:

The crystal is the heart of the blade.

The heart is the crystal of the Jedi.

The Jedi is the crystal of the Force.

The Force is the blade of the heart.

All are intertwined.

The crystal, the blade, the Jedi.

We are one.

The crystal code was originally chanted by the teacher while watching a student make their first lightsaber. Later when it became tradition for a student to assemble the blade in private it became more common for the student to recite it themselves during creation.

Many other codes are believed to exist as well as other versions of the primary mantra but they are only referenced by name without being quoted in full. As the Jedi order has fallen, reformed or simply been revised many times over many thousands of years it is unknown just how many could potentially exist, just as the rules and laws they follow have also evolved over many millenia.

Do you still have to pay after buying swtor?

SWTOR is no longer a pay to play MMORPG, it is now free to play as of 2014.

While SWTOR is now Free To Play, it is very limited in terms as to what the FTP player can have, use and at higher levels, content.

If you choose to subscribe, the pricing starts at $14.99 a month, with discounts for paying multiple months at a time.

Does Star Wars the old republic have single player campaign?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Depends. If your asking if two players can be on the same computer, than no, Only one person can be on that computer at a given time.

However, if you asking about the game itself is singleplayer, than no. It's genre is an MMO (a.k.a Massive MultiplayerOnline). So you will find that other player will also being playing that game as well.

EDIT: But, you might already know that all the official Star Wars Galaxies servers have shut down.

How do you play Star Wars the old republic without subscription?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Playing Star Wars: The Old Republic as a free to play or prefered account is the same as playing with a subscription, with just a few differences (albeit huge differences).

First, is the UI (user interface). As a free to play player you have access to two action bars (unless you spend money to purchase the unlocks), whereas as a subscriber, you have access to all six.

Second, the rate at which you earn experience is lower for free to play and prefered accounts. You also only have access to a limited amount of medical probes (for when you die). Warzones, flashpoints, and space missions are also limited to a few per week.

Third, the amount of credits you can have on a character is very limited whereas subscribers have no limit on credits.

Basically, playing the game as a free to play/prefered player is the same as playing as a subscriber, you just are limited and will take a little longer to level up.
