Flat Feet

A flat foot is normal in infants and toddlers, because the foot's arch hasn't yet developed. But some people never develop arches. Arches can also fall over time because the tendon that runs along the inside of your ankle and helps support your arch weakens.

Do flats make feet stink?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The main reason is that the dead skin cells from your heel and arch fall off easily and create a stench. Also, the straightening in your foot covers a larger area, and the sweat glands inside your foot become more active because of the concentrated heat in the shoe. They then release more sweat, which intensifies the smell.

What golf shoes are best for people with flat feet?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I would say Nike or Adidas are the best brands for wide feet. Also, when you the are buying the shoe ask an employee if you would need to get gel arches for your shoes. It makes it a whole lot easier to maneuver in sports or for a nice casual walk. It should 99.9% of the time keep your feet from being flat (flat-footed), if they sell you the ones you need of course.

Flat feet hurts a lot too. The only way to fix it is to go to a foot doctor and ask for a custom foot pad. You will take the one in your shoe out and replace it with the custom one. It will be about 200-500 dollars, but its worth fixing. I used to be in pain running, but now It doesn't even hurt a bit running.

Can a person with flat feet join the army?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It depends on how severe it is. If you have to have prescription for arch supports for your feet than its an automatic disqualification. If however you experience no pain and you walk fine on them with no problem then it would require a medical waiver and from what I heard it can take like a couple days for a waiver to go through which you can get those at MEPS. I heard that they have special implants for your boots if they see that you are flat footed.

Having flat feet doesn't necessarily mean that you have good balance. Usually when someone has flat feet they have strong feet but, when someone has a high arched foot, it usually means that they need to work on the strength in their feet. A good way to strengthen your feet would be with a "Thera-band"
