Henry VII was the first tudor monarch, he married Elizabeth of york and they had 8 children, four of which survived. He was crowned on 22nd of August 1485and during his reign brought weath and prosperity to England.

2. He defeated and killed his brother-in-law, King James IV of Scotland at the Battle of Flodden Field in 1513.
3. He was a claimant to the throne of France and invaded France in 1513.
4. He broke away from the Roman Catholic Church and created the Church of England
in order to divorce Catherine of Aragon to marry Anne Boleyn.
5. His dying words were supposed to be "Monks, Monks, Monks!"
