After the water drains out of the chamber, you see the statue of Thomas Jefferson, who is the person the memorial is built for because of his famous role in shaping our country.
The Washington Monument memorializes George Washington because he was the "father" of The United States of America, the Lincoln Memorial because he preserved The Union, and the Jefferson Memorial because he was a founding father and great statesman.
jefferson's muffin because of the muffin shaped top. It does not fot in the cross word, i know... it hurts. Go Eagles!
It happened because it was a special day of his memorial.Because it just did.
The Jefferson Memorial was designed byJohn Russell Pope and actually constructed by by Philadelphia contractor John McShain. Unfortunately, Pope died in 1937 before construction officially began and architects Daniel P. Higgins and Otto R. Eggers took over from there. It was started in 1938 and completed in 1943. Many people made fun of the design because it looked like a muffin. However, the design was modeled after three important architectural structures: the Roman Pantheon, Jefferson's own Monticello home, and Andrea Palladio's Villa Capra.Sources:http://architecture.about.com/od/greatbuildings/ig/Monuments-and-Memorials/Jefferson-Memorial.-A4m.htmhttp:/www.lycos.com/info/thomas-jefferson-memorial.html
The statue has corn, a book, and the Declaration of Independence along the back. The corn because he was a farmer, the book because he was a scholar, and the Declaration Of Independence because he was the author
Well the word "fallout" basically just means aftermath. In the case of the game, it is called the Fallout franchise because it is the aftermath of the nuclear explosions. The word "fallout" is also commonly used when talking about nuclear fallout, which is the radiation and such.
He didn't do anything...? Umm... the Declaration of Independence, Statesmen, Founding Father, the Pen of the Revolutionary generation, just to name a few... Yeah, he sure didn't do anything for America..
.The Pantheon design was originally rejected because it would compete against the similar Lincoln memorial but Roosevelt liked it more .Architects Daniel P. Higgins and Otto R. took over construction of the Jefferson Memorial after Pope died .The total cost of the monument was little over 3 million dollars .Very few changes have been made since 1943 but one major one which was replacing the plaster statue with the real bronze one .The Jefferson Memorial was made of Marble .The Jefferson Memorial was ranked 4th most popular architecture in America .Many trees were cut down in order for the construction to proceed .The Jefferson Memorial is not as popular as most other Washington D.C landmarks
