FBI showed up to my house a few weeks ago and I have not been charged?
I’m hoping for helpful advice as I am stressed out from this and my lawyer won’t answer my calls. Basically what happened is FBI showed up to a house I own but don’t live at, they called my cell phone to let me know they were there and wanted to speak but they wouldn’t tell me what it’s about. Naturally I got worried and called a lawyer, I paid him $1,000 for a retainer. He ended up calling them and then they wouldn’t meet me. Then my lawyer called back and told me what they were questioning me about. So what happened was I was using tinder and matched with a supposed 19 year old female. We never met in person or even exchanged phone numbers. About 2 months ago she told me she was only 17 so I got really angry and cursed her off. She apparently took it as a threat even though I never said anything about hurting her ever, I mean I don’t even know at this point if they were real pictures of this tinder match, but apparently she called the FBI on me according to my lawyer for making threats to a minor, which you can believe me or not, but I didn’t. So my lawyer said he was going to talk to the prosecutor and ask for it to be dropped as I had screenshots of her lying about her age and bragging about scamming me. It’s been 3 weeks, I haven’t been charged and my lawyer won’t answer my emails or phone calls. I have no experience in law and I have no idea what is going on. Shouldn’t I have been charged by now? I’m hoping someone experienced with federal law can answer this. I’m wondering how do I know if the investigation is dropped if I haven’t been charged and my lawyer won’t answer me. Does this mean they dropped the case like my lawyer initially said he was going to request have done because I had screenshots of our very short dialogue with the tinder girl or are they trying to make up bogus charges and taking their time? I just figured I’d be charged or something by now if I in fact did do something illegal, which I didn’t. So basically my question is how do I know if this nightmare ordeal is over if I haven’t been charged and my lawyer won’t answer?

Depends on how smart the keet is. However, I seriously doubt a domestic keet that got loose in the wild has survived for 3 weeks. It's possible, but unlikely.
