There are four areas of treasure chests that are connected to the Zodiac Spear, and if any of them are opened, the spear will not appear.
(1) In the "low town" directly in front of old Dalan's place.
(2) The treasure coffers in the cellars' southeast corner.
(3) The treasure coffers in the Confiscatory. This is after you recover your lost equipment in the Nalbina dungeons.
(4) There is a huge stash of sixteen treasure chests at the eastern point of Vaddu Strand (Phon Coast Region). If you have opened any of the previous chests, you only receive Gil. But the Zodiac Spear bestows 150 attack and 8 evasion.
There aren't really any true cheat codes for the game though, there are locations where you can easily grind for gil/xp though. good location for information like that is gamefaqs(dot)com

If you could only have Final Fantasy X or XII which would it be?
X without a doubt. I have played almost every FF game, and FF12 is one of my least favorites. Here's my personal ranking system: 1. You can buy the machine on ebay,gamestop, or gamefreak.If you dont have the machine plugged into your ps2, then you cant type in the cheats. After you have the gameshark machine plugged into your ps2, look on the internet for final fantasy 9 gameshark cheats. And there you have it. Enjoy the game. Even if you get the gameshark machine, there will only be like 3 cheat codes you can choose from. I think it is unlimited gil,lvl99, and skip to the ending.
