If the stickers have been removed, you can consult your owners manual or local Honda dealership. Generally, Honda has suggested the use of 5w20 for the Civic. And that 5w30 maybe used provdied you switch back to 5w20 for the next oil change. The Honda manual for a 2007 Honda Civic 2.2CDTi (UK) says to use 0w-30 fully synthetic oil.

if its a us Honda then its under the dash on left if its a UK Honda then its not obd compliant until 2001 actually i believe only 1996 and up year civics have an OBD port for plugging in the scanner..
