I said so
To cut-off the flow of oil and fuel to the Axis powers. :)
first of all the U.S didn't join anyone the allies powers joined them.
The Battle of Marne was the first major War World I victory for the Allied Powers. The Allies successfully saved Paris and France remained in the war.
Answer Italy on 8 September 1943 Italy overthrew dictator Benito Mussolini in July and tried to negotiate with the Allies to join them as an ally. The Allies would only agree to an unconditional surrender. The surrender was announced when it was learned troop ships were headed to Italy.
phoney war, because little action was happening between the allies and axis powers
first we will start with the axis. there were the Nazis, Italians (they dropped out of the war in 1943), and japanese. the allies had the US, Canada, britain, and most of the other countries in europe.
Russia supported Serbia first, then when Germany entered the war (on the side of Austria-Hungary--the Central Powers), France and Britain joined in as well (on the side of Serbia--The Allies). Bulgaria joined in later (Central Powers), as did Italy (Allies). As it became truly a world war, Japan and the United States joined (part of the Allies), and so did the Ottoman Empire (Central Powers), and several other countries such as Portugal, Romania, etc. on the Allied side.
Both. However, it was never really an Axis-power, despite the fact that it maintained basically an 'I will help you' pact with the Axis-powers. It later went to the allies' side when Hitler betrayed and invaded the USSR.
Germany was the first country to use poison gas
Russia and it's following allies had did...were?
The pronunciation of the word poison stresses the first syllable. So POIson would have the first syllable slightly louder and higher pitched.
The Allies first landed in Libya, then later in Italy.
