It's actually best to never keep fish in a bowl. It is extremely cruel, especially considering that it is not enough space for any animal to thrive. The bare minimum for a betta fish is 2.5 gallons but 5 gallons much more apt for a betta fish. They are extremely beautiful and active species of fish, so it's best to give them more space.
