From what I've read, it's a combination of two factors: some people smell and taste better to the fleas than others. Secondly some people do not have sensitivity to the bites and therefore don't react and have no idea they've been bitten while others are sensitive and have the allergic reaction that leads to itching.

Can mosquitos transmit rabies?

In my opinion i think it can transmit since mosquitos bite warm blooded animals and some warm blooded animals are rabid....so if he bite a rabid animal then theres a chance the mosquito of being rabid because rabid animals has their blood also rabid ....but i think its only a minimal chance because they dont actually target animals they like human flesh or blood

Why do fleas live on the furs of cats and dogs?

Fleas require a supply of fresh blood in order to reproduce; the proteins in the blood provide the necessary fuel for them to make their eggs. Generally they don't live in the animal's fur, they tend to be transient, hopping on board, staying with the animal long enough to establish their food supply, then dropping off and finding a tiny crack to grow and lay their eggs. It can take them a few days to get the amount of blood they need, but most of the time they are actually hiding elsewhere.
