50 series sounds better
if u want ur truck to be very loud the straight pipes would be the way to go but if you just want a go sound than the flowmaster 40s would be the way to go but dont get wrong the straight pipes sound great
One obvious answer is that the 70s came 30 years after the 40s and the quality of the sound was quite different in both time periods. Just like songs from the 2000s have a better quality than the 70s, the 70s had a better quality of sound than the 40s.

Running fuel pressure at idle should be high 30s to lower 40s. Ideally 41-44.
For a car it depends what you are talking about if its for less air pollution, or a purring noise like most Civics. But for a truck, preferably V8, I would say Magnaflow straight pipes. They give your truck better fuel mileage and make it sound good. You can get different "grades" of sound. You can get 40s which are loud when you "git on her." But for a quiet rumble I'd go with grade 70. It purrs but it won't ,what most people would say, be obnoxious.

1,000,000,000,000s = 16,666,666,666m, 40s = 277,777,777h, 40m, 40s = 11,574,074d, 1h, 40m, 40s = 31,688y, 32d, 1h, 40m, 40s So assuming all that math is correct, one trillion seconds is about 31,688 years.
