unfortunately you have to change the cross member,remove the crossmember from the six cylinder fairmont and replace with a crossmember from a 4 or 8 cylinder faimont or Mercury zepher,the four and eight cylinde crossmembers are exactly the same,then standard fairmont engine mounts will bolt up. this info is garunteed 100 percent . as there is nothing about the Ford fairmont that I do not know. had them for 26 years and have done fram up restorations on 7 of these autos. sincerely MDQ..
