No you do not want to leave your kid home alone when he/she is two months old because that would be stupid, no offense. You never leave your kid alone at any place because they know nothing at that age. You child is not a geinus at two moths old. If you want some time away from your child hire a babysitter that knows what they are doing. It's very helpful to know if they are a good babysitter when they have taken classes and are trained to babysit. Also, if you have a trustworthy friend or family member that would be good too. I hope i helped!

Is it normal for a 3 month old infants to stiffen when crying?

Yes it normal for infants to stiffen when crying or screaming. It is caused by the action of crying (try screaming really loud and you will find that you tense your body), they also stiffen if they do not want to be picked up. As long as the stiffness does not last beyond the crying there is nothing to worry about.
