ndstar just hardly moved from a stop to go & then it was ok what is wrong
supposedly it drops down somehow>???

It sounds to me like your clutch is going out,you should replace it as soon as possible.
The three sensors are [input sensors] that are wired to the Transmission Controller to give speed information to the Controller for proper shift points,[up-shifts-down shifts Input Turbine Speed.... Output Turbine Speed.. Vehicle Speed sensor...
On the back down pipe. It is better gotton from the underside as there is no room to get it from the top.
I have done this without harm to the vehicle. (and I did not worry about speed)
The Windstar most likely has a part that is breaking down when it heats up. Check the ignition coil and crank position sensor to start trying to find the problem.
I have a 2000 Windstar and it does this at times but it is normally when I start it and go to quickly not letting it idle down. Also mine has 322,000 with original transmission and motor and it has done it for several years.

I was looking at the 2002 Ford Windstar Owner Guide online at : ( www . motorcraft service . com ) no spaces , click on Owner Guides and on ( page 201 ) it explains about how fuse # 6 is used when parking the Windstar for longer periods of time so the battery doesn't run down
tires bounce either because the shock absorbers are trashed or you have the tires over inflated
my 1992 ford f150 p/u 5.0 2 wd. the speedometer/odometer, power mirrors, radio, dome lights stopped working the truck runs fine, but the transmission shifts hard going from 1st. to 2nd and very going back down! all happened at the same time
