97 F150 manual lumbar knob removal is easily removed by placing 2 ropes crossing each other under the kmob w/ the 4 ends up and pulling hard... The knob will pop off .... with alittle effort

Pull the knob out. There is a small slot in the side of the knob. Put a small flat blade screwdriver in the slot and pull the knob out. The screwdriver will release a clip and the knob will come off.
the gear knob has a section at the bottom grab hold and slide it down. this reveals two screws holding the knob on remove the two screws (one on the side and one on the back)and the knob will slide up and off. refitting is reverse of the removal
You have to go from behind the light, turn the knob 1/4 turn, and pull it straight back. DO NOT touch the new light bulb. Hold it by the black plastic casing. Reverse the removal process.
