I had to get one from my local parts store for my 1993 Mustang it was called a DIN radio removal tool for about 5-10 bucks.
by using the Ford radio removal horseshoe tools. Takes a couple of seconds.
You need the special tools that fit in the small holes on either side of the radio. They can be purchased online for as little as 5 bucks.
FORD RADIO REMOVALYou should purchase a set of ford radio removal tools .. they slide in on both sides of the radio in the two holes.Once you insert them push in on them about half an inch and you should feel them catch,,then pry out ward slightly on both tools this will release the radio and pull forward .. your done.
2012 ford e-250 radio removal
Ford motor company sells a kit of tools for removal of radios in the 96-98 tears. After removal of the radio you will have to have a code to get it to work. Consult your Lincoln dealer.
Use the U-shaped radio removal tools. They are available from most auto parts stores. Once you get the tools, it should only take about two minutes to remove the radio. You insert the tools into the holes on the sides of the front of the radio, push them slightly outwards, and pull the radio out.

go to your parts store and ask for the Ford Radio Removal Tools, about $5, two U shaped prongs that go into the 2 holes on each side of Ford radios to release the clips on side of the radio so you can pull it out.
The radio has 2 holes on each side of it, one above the other. These holes are for the removal tools, 1 tool needed for each side. The removal tools consist of "U"-shaped rods with pointed tips. The tips are inserted into the holes about 1/2". Not too far, or you could damage the clips that hold the radio in place. Insert the tools until you hear a "click" from each hole. Once inserted properly, push slightly outward on the tools and use them as handles to pull out the radio. It's that simple!

I bought a Ford removal tool at Best Buy for 6 bucks. I then bent it so I could insert 1 of the ends of each of the tools into the holes in the stereo facia. I then just pulled on the tools and the unit came out. I hope this helps.
Go to walmart and purchase the Ford radio or the Scosche DIN Radio Removal Tool.Cost is about $7. with this you can have the radio out in seconds, literally.
