You would not send a copy of your paper income tax return after you transmitted your income tax return electronically and you have received acknowledgment from the IRS that they have accepted your income tax return as you filed it.

If you did forget to send a form of some sort you should be receiving some correspondence from the IRS about it.

Possibly the form 8453 with attachments that is supposed to be mailed 3 days after you receive the acknowledgement from the IRS.

Go to the IRS gov web site and use the search box for 8453 go to page 2 for the below information.

If you are filing your tax return using an online provider, mail Form 8453 to the

IRS within 3 business days after you have received acknowledgement from your

intermediate service provider and/or transmitter that the IRS has accepted

your electronically filed tax return. If you do not receive an acknowledgement, you

must contact your intermediate service provider and/or transmitter.
