There are two possible reactions for HNO3 + BaCO3. They will either form BA(NO3)2 and carbon dioxide and water, or hydrogen carbonate. The equations are HNO3 + BaCO3 = Ba(NO3)2 + CO2 + H2O or HNO3 + BaCO3 = Ba(NO3)2 + H2CO3.
calcium carbonate + nitric acid ---calcium nitrate + water + carbon dioxide
After asking the question i found the answer on another web page so posted the answer on here in case it may be of use to someone else in the future
There is no substance called barium nitric acid.
There is barium nitrate, which is Ba(NO3)2
If you mean the equation for the reaction between barium and nitric acid it is:
Ba + 2HNO3 --> Ba(NO3)2 + H2
Barium has a 2+ charge and the Nitrate formula is NO3.
Best Answer you can ever get![ ba] has a charge of 2+ and [no3] has a charge of 1- so by crossover rule 2 is transferred to nitrate and 1 to barium so the formula is:ba(no3)2
Ba(NO3) 2 (3 and 2 subscript)
BaC03 + 2HCL ---> BaCl2 + C02 + H20
Ba(NO3)2
Barium carbonate will react with nitric acid, producing barium nitrate, carbon dioxide, and water.
The balanced equation for Lithium carbonate plus Nitric Acid is: LiCO3 + 2HNO3 --> Li(NO3)2 + CO2 + H2O
the equation isCa + HNO3 ----> Ca(NO3)2 + H2 reactants products
2HCl + BaCO3 >> BaCl2 + H2CO3
magnesium nitrate + water + hydrogen
Barium carbonate will react with nitric acid, producing barium nitrate, carbon dioxide, and water.
The correct molecular equation of, calcium carbonate-CaCO3 nitric acid-HNO3
The balanced equation for Lithium carbonate plus Nitric Acid is: LiCO3 + 2HNO3 --> Li(NO3)2 + CO2 + H2O
iron :)
the equation isCa + HNO3 ----> Ca(NO3)2 + H2 reactants products
2HCl + BaCO3 >> BaCl2 + H2CO3
magnesium nitrate + water + hydrogen
BaCO3 + H2SO4 --> BaSO4 + CO2 + H2O
Ba(OH)2 + 2HNO3 -------> Ba(NO3)2 +2H2O
2HNO3 + K2CO3 = 2KNO3 + H2O + CO2 Remember the general equations for acid and carbonate. Acid + Carbonate = Salt + Water + Carbon Dioxide. NB Other general equations for acid reactions are Acid + Base = Salt + Water Acid + Alkali = Salt + Water Acid + Metal = Salt + Hydrogen.
ZnCO3 + 2HNO3 ----> Zn(NO3)2 + H2O + CO2
NaHCO3 + HNO3 = CO2 + H2O + NaNO3
