Imam Khomeini
The US has fought several wars.
Ayatollah Ali as-Sistani, the Chief Ayatollah of Iraq and Sayyed Muqtada as-Sadr one of the most persuasive Shiite leaders in Iraq. Ali as-Sistani was very important in getting Shiite Muslims and Shiite Clerics involved in the Iraqi political process during the elections and creation of a new Iraqi State. Muqtada as-Sadr famously fought the US forces and created a ghetto in Baghdad called "Sadr City" that spawned numerous militants and violence.
The US wasn't....
The US never fought with Hitler
Both Germany and Japan fought against the US in WW2.Both Germany and Japan fought against the US in WW2.
The US fought Germany and Japan in WWII. The US fought North Korea and Red China in the Korean War. The US fought Mexico in the Mexican War of 1846. The US fought Great Britain in the War of 1812. The US fought Spain in the Spanish-American War of 1898. The US fought Germany in WWI. The US fought North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Is America at war with the nation of Iraq?
pfft, who hasn't the US army fought against!?!?
The two Iraqi groups encouraged to rebel by the US were the Shiite Muslims and the Kurdish population. Following the Gulf War in 1991, the US signaled support for uprisings against Saddam Hussein's regime, leading to significant revolts in both communities. However, the uprisings faced brutal suppression, particularly in the south by the Iraqi military, leading to dire consequences for the rebels.
The US Army fought more because there were more of them, but the US Marines also fought against the Germans in France.
The US fought on the Allied, or UN side in Korea.
That would be Nixon's oil security policy that destabilized the Shah's regime.
