Freshly rebuilt sbc with maybe 400 miles The problem is it seems to have some blow by and very little blue smoke coming out the tailpipes wondering if the rings did not seat if not will they?

I have rebuilt several engines from street rods to circle track cars. Most rebuilt engines will have a small amount of blowby and smoke some out exhaust till.rings seat into the cylinder walls. Don't panic just yet put about 5000 miles on it driving at all speeds if it don't clear up check compression on each cylinder. Also valve seals will cause smoking also make sure they are correct and positive seals suck. Umbrella are better.
