All Amtrak intercity trains leave from Penn Station.
You don't have quite enough information to solve this question. You need to know; 1) are the trains going in opposite directions? If not, then they may never meet 2) did the trains leave from the same station? 3) did the trains leave at the same time? 4) did the trains leave travelling at their stated speeds? Love to help, but, as stated, can't
They are the same train station Gare du Nord is the full, historic name. Paris Nord is the name it is known by today. Paris to Creil is only about 35 minutes. Trains also leave here for Northern destinations like Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, UK. Including TGV EuroStar and Thalys.
There is no direct train from Paris to Trier. You can either travel with the high-speed train TGV to Luxemburg (2h) or with highs-speed train ICE to Saarbrücken (3h). There you have to change to local trains to Trier (~1hour, running every hour). Most trains leave from the station Paris-Est. If you start at the Airport, take the train to the station "Loraine", change then to the TGV to Luxemburg. You can chesck the connection at http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de. Regards from Trier Ernst
