From the "2004 workshop manual" - The current manual for the 2002 Rio, The driveshaft lock nut should be to 157-235 Nm (116-174 lb/ft) The wheel bearing preload should have a drag of 0.25 - 1.17 Nm. Realistically, either a 900mm breaker bar with a 20-25kg force on the end, or a pneumatic gun, is realistic. Be sure to tighten, drop the car, drive it a very short distance, lift and retorque, then stake the locknut using a hammer and blunt cold chisel into the groove.
