I have an '83 300sd. the worst I ever got was about 17.5 but that was on the high way averaging 85 mph for a solid 200 miles. The best I ever got was about 26-27 and that was at about 80 mph for a whole tank. My guess is that there was a bit of a tail wind. The consistent average I get is 22-24 and that is city driving with little traffic at 35-50mph
The cost of the Mercedes Benz 300 SEL varies with the year, mileage, and condition of the vehicle. On average, this car is 10,000 dollars to about 75,000 dollars.

the fuel pump relay is behind the battery there are two there the front one is the fuel relay
i need to know where the relay for the fuel pump is located in the engine
The fuel filter is under the car you have to remover the plastic cover under the car to get to the fuel filter.
It's located near the right rear tire, next to the fuel pump.
Just push on one side of the fuel door itself (it is not locking).
Fuel filters are replace at a set mileage determined by the manufacture as outlined in your owners manual. Change it at that mileage. If you have no owners manual then change it every 50,000 miles.
