just replaced the fuel pump and it still pops the fuse under acceleration...checked at shop all wiring and no signs of bad wires, possibly voltage spike through that circut.
The carburetor has an electric choke that is possibly shorted.
Usually means there is a short to ground somewhere in the lighting wiring.
At the mall
check fuel pump fuse..
The fuel pump is shorting out and that is why the ecm fuse is blowing .Disconnect the the fuel pump and try it again,if the fuse blow's again then it is not the fuel pump.
Short in the wiring or a bad fuel pump.
Fuel pump
Pull the ECM fuse or the injector fuse , or you can pull the fuel pump relay out of it .... all will keep it from starting
there is a short somewhere. check all wires and make sure none are broke or bare. check oxygen sensor wires they can get brittle. I'm having the same problem but i think my fuel pump is drawing too much current because its bad, therefore popping the fuse.
there's a short in the ciruit somewhere. Look to see if a wire is touching the chasie somewhere grounding it out..
It is very common for the starter to be the cause of that fuse blowing.
Defective fuel pump fuse or fuel pump relay.
