Mine Dose the same thing, i have been told that my fuelpump cank keep up, you could put a camero pump in it because it runs at 60psi and yours now runs at 12 to 16psi. your TBI already has a fuel regulator.

Fuel pump is gping out it may have enough fuel to start then it works like a vacuum but the pressure is not enough to keep it going. Same thing happend to my Buick Lasabre.
