Fuses are located underneath the cab dash panel, on the L/H side above the clutch pedal. You will need to remove one bolt or nut by the cab access door which goes through the cab panel and one bolt below the gauges (should be 9/16 head). This will help you gain access to the fuses. Good Luck!
The fuse box on a John Deere 4430 diesel tractor can be found beneath the drivers seat. The drivers seat should tilt forward revealing the fuse box.

The John Deere 4630 was a series made in the late 70's. That being said it can be a very decent tractor. For your first tractor it might be a wise idea to go with just a slightly smaller but comparable John Deere 4430.

There are other John Deere Tractors that are larger and more fit for multiple tasks on a larger area of land. Depending on the amount of work needed to be on and the size of the land, the type of tractor may vary.
