This is typically a simple relay that is clicking. If the sound is coming from your fuse area, look for a small metal or plastic "can" that has two wires (or two plug in spades) going to it. It acts like a fuse except instead of "blowing out", it turns off and then resets over and over until the short malfunction is repaired (since it clicks, the relay is probably okay). If you can hear it click, you should be able to feel which one is clicking with your finger. Once you can Identify the relay, unplug it (or remove wire spades from it) and then see what does not work. Then check which wire to the relay has electricity going to it (all you need is a simple ($5.00) 12 volt test light with the alligator clip to a good ground and use the probe carefully so as not to touch the tip against anything other than the wire spade or connector spade). The one that does not have electricity is the one to follow to the source of the short. Could be as simple as a crimped wire or bare wire hitting a frame (ground), or could be as complex as a major electronic component. Good luck.
under left side cover
To check the fuses on a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle, use a fuse puller to pull each fuse out. Look at the side of the fuse to see if there is a break in the filament inside. If there is a break in the filament the fuse is blown.
There is NO such bike,,road king was 1st produced in 94...Also no fuses ,,they're equipped with breakers....

it has 3 auto-reset breakers behind the battery on the front of the rear fender where the starter relay is, no fuses unless you have heated grips, vest etc.
The Harley Davidson Sportster does not have a fuse box. It has a circuit breakers that are located behind the engine near the rear tire.
No fuses, but it does have circuit breakers.
Under your left side cover there are a few black boxes. pull them out of the clip and your fuse is inside. there is also a slot that has spare fuses
Check the lite bulb it is OK check if there is power at the lite when you press peddle/lever.If no power check brake switches and fuses as well as connections on wires.
Depends on year and model Most ever built with a head light are fused. More current models use breakers in this service more in line with government safety requirements.
