The ME 262 Fighter Jet of the Nazi Luftwaffe was not put into use until the summer of 1944 and early part of 1945. It was a dismal failure for the Luftwaffe because the Allied Forces downed most of the jets that went against the USAAF and RAF planes. The jet was also too new a technology and plane for the Luftwaffe Pilots to learn to fly. The plane itself was not a very good jet because it was not long enough and did not have good flying capabilities.

The 'Stuka' was a single engined, low wing dive bomber made by the German company Junkers.
