We would need to know WHAT you want to know about Germany at the end of World War 2. Here is a basic run down for you. If it does not answer your question then re-ask it with specifics.
- Germans were defeated in spirit and shocked over what they learned about the truth of what the Nazis had done with the Jews. In reality they did know but could not believe it. (You know the old concept of living in denial).
- The US had to have food and basic living things sent over to Germany and other European countries because the people had no homes, no jobs, no businesses and no food or medicines.
- They had to clean up all the rubble around their country. Women went to work to remove the rubble. Some men and kids helped too but in reality there were not very many men between ages 18-50 left because they were either killed or maimed or in POW camps.
- It took Germany years to be able to rebuild but they did accomplish a lot in 10 years time.
- Other nations did not want the Germans to have a technological and industrial base economy. They wanted them to exist with an agricultural base so they could never build war implements ever again. The economists that that was unrealistic because it had not been an agrarian society and they did not know how to farm on a large scale.
- It would have been a shame to not capture their ability to make exceptionally good products. They were allowed in the end to become an industrial nation again.
- It took the world a while to forgive the Germans for the evil they allowed to rule over Europe and murder 11 million people for hateful reasons and 20 million Russians for the same reasons.
- Germany is now a wonderful country full of great people.
