I have a 1997 GTP and my shift lock went out. I fixed it. I pulled off the plastic shroud by my shifter. If just snaps on. I then took a rubber bumper ( thinks thick washer but made of rubber) and cut it so it would open like the letter C. Then i used a big standard screw driver to open the shift lock solenoid and I jammed that bumper in there so it can not close. Was a very cheep fix. Better than the 300 bucks GM wanted. And it has lasted over a year now.

Most GM PCV valves are on top of one of the rocker covers. It's usually inserted into a rubber grommet and connected to a hose that goes back to the throttle body.
Open the driver door fully. Pull back the wiring harness rubber sheath that is positioned between the door and the pillar of the vehicle. Inspect the wiring inside the sheath. You may find some wires rubbed through or chaffed. As the driver door is the door that is opened and shut the most, this is the most likely place to find a bad wire.
