I have been researching for a fix to get my dash lights working again and have come across your problem and the fix seems to be that you have to change the ignition switch which is a wire harness under the steering colum attached bellow the key cylinder. If you look up jimmy ignition switch you will find the info you need.

Assuming you have push button or a swith to go into 4wheel drive, the problem is most likely the button/switch is going bad and putting the vehicle in low 4x4. You should get it serviced very soon.
