Google comes up with different search snippets for the keywords targeted on one page because of the different page ranks.
Google ranks by how frequently other sites link to you, not by what you do or don't say on your site, although they do of course use what is on your site to determine whether your page is of relevance.
There are several different ways a blog can move up in Google ranks. One way, is using key words or phrases in your defining paragraph. Google looks for words or phrases that are used often. Using links correctly is another way to boost your ranks. When making a link it's best to use key words or phrases that pertain to the link as the link itself. One final way to boost your rankings is to join a directory.
If Google isn't your home page already, go to the Google website and you should see a button saying "Make Google my homepage". Click on it and Google becomes your home page. Or you can favorite or bookmark the Google website and set it as your home page there.
