Try the knock sensor. i changed that also also fuel pump and plugs wires etc still sets code 43 and drops to almost no power turn key off wait 1 min and go again just fine for 3 or 4 miles
Same problem on mine...I had the blower motor module replaced and it works great.
I have a 2000 Malibu and I am having the same problem. There is an electrical problem. I have yet to figure out how to solve it, but turning on the AC blows the fuse. Ive had the instrument cluster replaced, so dont go and do that, because your car will still do the same thing. Your BCM (Body Control Module) may need to be replaced, or it is just a bad wiring. If you have replaced your battery, that may be a part of the problem. I know this information is not much, but hopefully it will help. I have a 2000 Malibu and I am having the same problem. sounds like we are having the same type of issue, I replaced ignition Module and coil pack, and still no spark the last thing to change is the Computer.
i had the same problem, replaced everything and it turned out to be the distributor, they go bad on these vehicles.
we had the same problem and replaced all those things and it ended up being the throttle body position sensor.. maybe that is your problem
Diagnostic Module needs changing. Could be clogged charcoal canister. Purge Valve needs changing. New gas cap. Depends on the code. I am currently having the same problem. Mine was code P1404 & it needs the D Module chnaged.
i would imagin you are talking about a gm vehicle, i have the same roblem in my blazer and know 2 others with the same problem, its probably electrical either in your switch on the lever or there may be a module that needs replaced.
Could be a problem with the wiring from the computer to the sensor.
I have experienced this problem before. There is a good chance there is a Body or powertrain code stored in the computer to indicate a problem in the cluster, body control module, wiring, or combination of those. The only way to know is to get that code read. after experiencing the same problem with the fuel gage, temp gage and service light, we kept using the Saturn only to have the car not go out of park, and the door lock malfunction.Took it to Saturn dealer and diagnosed it as having the body control module replaced. to the tune of over $400.you cannot do this yourself as the module needs to be programed after installation with a special machine.
This code is for the transmission The Direct clutch speed sensor. Have it tested most likely it has to be replaced. Had the same problem myself and managed to fix it by replacing the sensor.
I had the same problem with a 93 Jag. I replaced the ignition module, coil, crank sensor, and even the ECU computer and I still did not have any spark. I was stumped and studying the wiring diagram I replaced the ECM Main Relay that was the problem, it fired right up. The ECM Main Relay on the 93 is located in the passenger side of the engine compartment on the firewall and it is the farthest outboard relay. Simple fix. I sure hope this helps someone out there
I have the same question in a Canadian Fire Alarm Association module, the module says its a voluntary code for adoption (through an act of provincial parliament) but none of the answers are such :(
