Greek civilization is divided into eight periods. First, the Neolithic period lasted from 6000- 2900 BCE. It was followed by the Early Bronze Age which lasted from 2900- 2000 BCE. Then came the Minoan age from 2000- 1400 BCE. Then in 600 BCE, the Mycenaean Age began and it lasted until 1100 BCE, when the Dark Ages started. The Dark Ages ended in 750 BCE with the beginning of the Archaic Period. The Archaic Period was followed by the Classical Period, which began in 500 BCE. And lastly, the Hellenistic period which began in 336 BCE and ended in 146 BC with the dawning of the Roman Empire.
