○Try not to be nervous. Horses can sense your mood, and if you're nervous it will be too. Smiling to yourself can help for you to stay calm
○Talk to it in a calm and subtle voice. I think you would feel much better if someone talk nice and steady than yelling out things.
○Don't look at what might be spooking your horse. Or if you're sure what is spooking your horse. Remove it. Or maybe bring it up to the horse. Let it sniff it or rub it on it's neck.
○Don't rush up to it or shyly go up to it. Go up with confidence.
○Stoke it, and feed it some treats for it to trust you. Give it some attention.
Hope this helps.
If the horse panics, cover it's eyes and remove it from the area.

harry is a rat
A horse's sight is different to ours. Horse's see in black and white, darker things a black colour, and lighter things more white. But pure white to us is hard for a horse to take in, and it might reflect or look a bit strange to the horse. Hope this helped!

The scale is from 1 to 10 with 1 being the calmest. A horse with a temperament of 1 doesn't spook, doesn't get upset, is very calm and gentle. A horse with a temperament of 10 is wild, spooky and very dangerous.
Equitation means that the judges judge you on how you show and handle your horse, like showmanship. Pleasure is where the judges judge the horse.
