I fought with this for a week recently, you have another underlying problem.
Pluged air cleaner
Disconected vacume line to fuel pressure regulator
Bad plugs
Bad cap
and so on
when it is worm you got to keep the throttle down to start
yes
Replace the fuel pressure regulator, it is leaking fuel past the diaphragm and flooding the motor.
If you turn on the AC it will start right away. Otherwise within 20 min it should come on, depending on how warm it is.
check compression
Hesitation. Stumble. Backfire. Flooding. Hard cold start. Hard warm start. Poor idle. Poor mpg. Smell of fuel.
Hard to start when cold?? Warm?? All the above? How many miles on the vehicle? Fuel filter been changed lately? How many miles are on the spark plugs?
we have 1993 acura legend it hard up it 4 to 5 times to start up when it start it will start up e.z i mean when engine warm up any body have any idea ?
check igntion coils
hard starting in the morning. It could also mean hard starting when the engine is warm. If the sensor is bad, and the car is warm, it could be telling the computer the engine is cold, therfore making the warm engine hard to start because it will be telling the computer to add more fuel and the engine doesn't need it.
It is not so much hard for a car to start when the engine is cold as it is easier for a car to start when the engine is warm.Cars that are hard to start in the cold are usually not new cars any more and because of wear and tear there is more likely to be something that doesnt work as well. when fuel is warm it ignites more easily.
