More than likely the rack and pinion on the car has blown the seals inside. but i would start with a Power Steering pump there about 25 30 dollars if that doesn't fix it get ready for the fun takes about two to three hours to replace the rack the engine frame has to be dropped down some to get it out but i have fixed several of those.

Check on the bottom side of the transmission for a plug that may have came unplugged. It will make it shift really hard if it is unplugged.
