My hazard lights have come on and I cant switch them off on my Peugeot 406 diesel estate. I used the car last night and everything was fine. when i got up the hazard lights were flashing.?
check the interior switch for where.

hi..im sorry if ive got your hopes up and you think this is an answer to your problem but the truth is ive got the same problem..ive got a 1998 peugeot 306 1.9 diesel and some peugeot 306 models have a sensor with the fitting attached (picture available if you send an email address to me) the sensor on mine goes into a gromit attached to a bracket bolted to the engine but the bracket is not there and i don't know what it looks like neither can i buy one because peugeot agents don't list one.!..hope you've had some luck..regards.

Hi, if you have the older petrol 406 (pre 99 i think) which would be the XU engine on 1.8 or 2ltr it should be on the right hand side of the block as you look at it in the bend where the pipe going from the engine to the rad.. Got the same prob just havn't had the time/courage to do it yet as I'm new to working on cars. Good luck!! Josh

i dont know how to disable completely but if you have got the code wrong a few times and wont let you try again then you have to disconnect the battery in order to try again.

its the heater fan restrictor.under bonnet top right.below tax disc....remove black plastic its got 2 screws.under that is a metal v shaped bar.remove that its got 3 bots.then remove the long black rubber thing.then under that is a plastic guard with 2 plastic handles.pull that out.then inside you will see the fan.inside above the fan you wil see a ittle box with wire springs.turn it right and it wil come out.pull the wires out of the back and replace with new one...bingo you have heat.i got 1 from a screp yard for 10 pounds.goood luck
