No, The PlayStation 3 uses the PlayStation Network that is connected to the internet. The PS3 is also able to use the World Wide Web, but the PS3 games are played on the PlayStation Network and the PlayStation Store is also part of the network. Other features like Netflix are not part of the network and neither would browsing the web. I do not not believe it would be correct to say that PlayStation has it's own internet and I am sure that I can access parts of there network from my home computer.
