Is the engine running?! If so, you've got a rough idle. Could be bad ignition timing, or the ignition (suppression) wires are worn out. Or perhaps you've got a vacuum leak. If the car really shakes when you rev the engine, you mighta busted an engine mount.

mine stalled randomly, and it was a vacuum hose on the top of the engine, it got old and hot so it melted and was clogging the engine at low idle. replaced the joint with a pvc part i got form the autopart store. still works today.

The real deal is to have an auxiliary power unit on your truck--if you have a new truck, you've probably got one. With those you don't idle the main engine at all; the APU runs the heat and AC.
