I am currently putting a 40 Ford pickup on a98 Explorer frame, so far i have the body mounted and the fenders and hood lined up , biggest problem is mounting fenders to the frame but with a little imagination this can be accomplished , had to move motor back an fab new cab mounts, it looks like I will have to rotate the rack back to achieve the right steering input angle and mount master cyl. on the frame or on the fire wall, this is optional. I am using a 302 with c4, plenty of room underneath, not sure of rear end yet but the stock Explore rear looks like it might work, plus rear disk .Had to back off on torsion bar torque to get the front lower. The Explore has a little wider track but you can use a wheel with more inset to compensate this ,with a little imagination and coming up with your own ideas , you can have a decent driver pretty cheep. Use what you got and have fun doing it. Any body can tear don an original and put it back together but what kind of skill would that take. Build what you like and have fun doing it and just drive it
